Wall washing provides even, uniform illumination across a facade surface, typically using fixtures mounted 30-50cm from the wall at 15-30° angles. It's ideal for smooth surfaces and creating a clean, bright appearance. Wall grazing places fixtures very close to the wall (10-15cm) at steep angles to accentuate texture, revealing the relief of stone, brick, or patterned cladding through dramatic light and shadow.
