MOCK-UPS & ON-SITE AIMING
We refine optics before final approval. We adjust beam angles on site. We fine-tune to architectural intent. This reduces risk.
Our Process
6-STEP MOCK-UP PROTOCOL
Sample Installation
A representative section of the space is fitted with proposed fixtures at specified mounting positions and angles.
Beam Testing
Multiple optic options tested on-site — narrow spot, medium flood, wide flood — to validate the design specification.
Glare Assessment
Visual comfort verified at key viewing positions — seated, standing, entry approach — with shielding adjustments as needed.
Aiming Adjustment
Adjustable fixtures fine-tuned to precise angles. Wall washers aligned. Accent lights locked onto focal points.
Scene Calibration
Dimming levels set per scene. Transition speeds adjusted. Sensor thresholds calibrated against real ambient conditions.
Sign-Off
Architect and client walk-through with documented photography. Lux measurements recorded against simulation targets.
Why Mock-ups Matter
VALUE OF ON-SITE VALIDATION
Risk Reduction
Identify and resolve issues before full installation. Adjust optics, colour temperature, or fixture positioning with minimal cost impact.
Client Confidence
Stakeholders see and approve the actual lighting effect, not just renders. This eliminates subjective debates during commissioning.
Design Integrity
We refine to match the original architectural intent — every shadow line, every gradient, every focal point validated in the real space.
Documentation
Every adjustment documented with photos, lux readings, and updated fixture settings for the final commissioning package.
